I received a call from a guy named Mark Rickman. He said he was going to deliver legal papers to my work by 5pm the next day. I can call 888-673-7889 to resolve the issue. When I called 888-673-7889 they had no idea who Mark Rickman was or why he would threaten to deliver papers. They said they were part of National Debt Holdings and Ashfield Management Services. To be honest, I do owe a payday loan company and this guy had the right information. I hung up and called the original loan provider to trace my loan to the correct collection agency. They had never heard of either company mentioned above and gave me the 4 companies they work with and to only work with them. BE CAREFUL who you give your money to.
If there is a real claim, you would have an unannounced visit by a licensed process server..not a cold call. You did the right thing by contacting the original creditors.
