My answering machine picked up before I could answer the call and so the system disconnected. Called the number back and it was a Telemarketing Firm. Computer answered and I pressed 1 for them not to call again. But the problem is I 'm on both Federal and State do not call lists.
My lines are on the state and federal DNC lists. I also have caller ID which I use to implement the DNA/CB (Do not answer/call back) list.
I don't answer calls when I don't recognize the number and I don't call anyone back that doesn't leave a message.
Works 100% of the time.
When I told the "friendly" operator that I am on the Do Not Call list, she told me that she speaks to over 300 people a day and they are all on the do not call list.
I've had the same issue and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call National Registry. It's very easy to do online. Just google Do Not Call Registry and then click on File a Complaint.
