Number 971-703-2599 called my landline home phone today @ 12:15 pm (Pacific time). We do not ever answer unrecognized caller-id's and blocked caller-id's and we haven't for several years now (doing so has greatly reduced the number of B.S. calls we get over time since we never actually answer their calls). We let them go to the answering machine to screen the caller and if it is a legitimate or known caller, of course we answer. Otherwise, they can leave a message on the machine if they so choose. In this case, the unrecognized caller-id caller went to the answer machine and they did not leave a message. They simply disconnected. On call-back to the number about 20 minutes later, a recorded message answered and indicated that they are some type of a "marketing business", without actually identifying themselves or their so-called "business" in any way, shape, or form -- and they offer plenty of options to press buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 for this and that and blah blah blah.
We added the number to the call-block feature of our digital telephone service.
