I have gotten numerous calls from them, the first time I listened for a few minutes but wouldn't do what they wanted. The guy that called got very nasty and told me that if I didn't do what he wanted I would be in trouble. I asked what he could do to me, and he told me I would never be allowed to register a Microsoft or Apple product again. LOL, if Microsoft could keep people from registering Apple products they'd be doing it.
Now I ask for their name and the name of their supervisorand tell them I am going to call Microsoft and ask to be transfered to them. Their reactions are funny.
Someone claiming from Microsoft contacted one of our users with this same motive (your computer is attacking our server). He pretended to have him open his event viewer and cookies folder then wanted to connect in. Lukily, our user refused and contacted us right away. We looked up the phone number and found this site.
Received a call this a.m. at 7:58. I said you must have a wrong number. The caller--a woman, I think--asked for Mr. (my last name). I said, do you know what time it is? It isn't even 8 o'clock. Why are you calling at this hour? No reply. I just hung up.
