This number called me today and said it was a grant of 9000 dollars and wanted my info its really suspicious they said they got my number from the government and wanted my bank name and info i hung up on them and they havnt called back dont give out info its really weird
Don't bother threatening them, especially if the call's from a number like this. That fourth digit doesn't float in N. America and usually guarantees a foreigner will be on the other end, as you found out. Expect to be taunted as such since the caller probably knows they're safe on the other side of the world. Let your phone ring instead if you can without any answer at all.
I got a call from this # 3 times in a row. The third time I answered. They said they were from Capital One. I told them to go to hell because I don't use credit cards.
This number has called me upwards of 12 times a day with no one on the other side. Today someone did answer and when I kindly asked to be placed on the DNC list he told me to go f*ck myself and told me he would call me back 100 times and that I should call the FBI. Definitely middle eastern. Awesome.
