This number called me today and said it was a grant of 9000 dollars and wanted my info its really suspicious they said they got my number from the government and wanted my bank name and info i hung up on them and they havnt called back dont give out info its really weird
Usually one can tell a spam call from 888, 866, 800, but this one had an area code of 202, and when asked you were they, their sentence began with "This is the United States ... ". Don't know how they got a 202 area number but it definitely got me surprised.
They called and said they were calling from the US dept of treasury. I cut him off and asked him what country he's calling from. He started stuttering and said "I uh don't know what you're talking about" I replied saying I'm sure you don't, next time if the treasury wants my money to send me a letter like they're supposed to and I laughed and hung up.
