I too received a call from this number with a guy claiming to be a DEA agent. He said he has a search warrant for my property and an arrest warrant fro me. Call him right away. Now why would the cop tell you before they come over with a search warrant. Pretty week scam.
I got this call as well from this number today, he told me that I committed a Federal offense by ordering prescriptions from other countries and that I was going to be arrested tonight and be indicted tomorrow before the Federal Judge in New York if we didn't resolve the issue right now. I told him that I never ordered anything, he got a little snippy with me and said fine I could tell it to the judge in the morning, and we got cut off. So I got my recorder and called them back and asked what agency he was calling from and he said he was calling from the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency we talked for a few and got cut off, I don't get good service on my cell in my apartment. I went to the local police department explained about the call and also let him hear my recorded conversation, so they called at first they didn't want to talk to him something about 3rd party conversations but found out they wanted my personal info and account number. So go to your local police department, if you want something done about this if enough people complain they have to do something, at least I hope anyway.
I got the same routine. He left a message on my home phone and I called back the next day. Said if I paid a $5000 fine he could talk to the judge and call off the Customs Department and nothing would go on my record. I Googled both his name and the phone number and saw all these posts. There is a complaint number where you can leave an anonymous message at the DEA. I'm also going to call their office and my local police.
This is skunk Anthony just called me and made the same accusations. I told him he is out of his mind, that I've never purchased any kind of drugs. He threaded to send DEA agents to my house, and I said bring it! I'd love to give them your name and number. I googled his # while he was threatening me, and told him it said "fake DEA Agent"....We never got to the point where he asked for money, because I told him to go to hell and hung up. He hasn't called back. He did say I was supposed to be in court in NY tomorrow. I said if you think I believe this scam for one minute, you're nuts. I'm going to speak to my attorney and see what I can do. I see that other poor souls have actually given this scum their money and these scammers must be stopped!
Call the DEA. I did. Impersonating a Federal Officer is a 20 year sentence for the first offense. The DEA website has a special page set up for you to report "Anthony Scum Bag" You can leave a message anonymously. The DEA is very interested in hearing about this scam. Every little bit helps.
I am SO pissed off, I just received a call from fake "Agent Morita" as well , he left a message on my parents machine saying I have been buying drugs overseas. Caller ID showed 202-239-0955. Not sure if I should call the DEA or let karma get him. I would LOVE to see this SOB get 20 years!
