I received a call a little while ago. An automated message was left but the message was cut off. It stated some sort of case file, but I'm not sure what the case file is referring to, as the message is only a few seconds long. I received the identical cut off voice mail message on Friday, but it was from a number in Seattle. Obviously the same people though. That number was (206) 734-4627. Very irritating. I owe no money anywhere. Obviously a scam of some sort.
Left a recorded message saying IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.( never used my name of course)...I have gotten this same message from several other numbers. if you call these heavy accented people they want you to send them a prepaid credit card. Total scam...don't be had, but do call them back to harass them, they are tricking the elderly and stealing their money.
just got a call from 202-239-1857. robocaller message saying IRS is filing suit against me and wanted me to call back. Having been audited by IRS before, this is not how this works. Don't fall for it.
