It is 100% a scam! The IRS will contact you by mail, not by phone and they certanly won't threaten you with arrest. Go to the IRS website; they state right there this is a scam.
Still occurring. Now they say things like, "Officer Johnson.." When you call back. Complete scam otherwise, by their words, I should have been arrested 4 days ago.
I keep getting calls from this number telling me I have tax filings that need to be taken care of within 24 hours after that it will be taken to local authorities
I got a phone call from this David Johnson yesterday twice.. and wanting to know about my taxes I told him I haven't worked in 3years he said I need to pay 1,482.00 dollars in taxes were my taxes were not done correct. He ask for bank account information. . He said there's warret out for my arrest...Here's his phone number( 202)242-0692 ext- 1488 and case number - IRS - 4215WR218 he gave this number also CI 71586. Hope this helps you all.. He was not no American . He kept repeating himself. He kept want bank information and bank card information I said I have no money. I haven't worked. Then Johnson hung on.
