Don't give the crooks the time of day and let the phone ring without letting them leave you messages. IRS doesn't issue threats or forewarn of arrests, much less call you at random. Tell him to blow it out his backside if you talk to him. They can't do squat if you don't answer.
This person with an indian accent claming to be with the IRS called my friend on may 6th 2015 and left a very harsh message saying that my friend owed a lot of money to the IRS and that they were going to arrest him and seize his passport and bank account etc, etc,, ,,,My friend took this very serious and even went to the bank before he contacted me and other folks that let him know it was a fraud. My son received a call yesterday saying he owed the IRS and that if he didn't pay he will be going to jail for 8 months. It freaked him out. I told him that this sounds like a scam and that if he owed IRS they wouldn't have mailed him his tax refund. I googled the number the dumb scammer called from. I hate this is happening to honest people. My son is a very intelligent, honest, and hard working respectful young man, but William will not win here.
This number called my husband saying we owed taxes and we're having the police come to our house....they had our address and arrest him! They were very aggressive! Scammers...please be aware!
This [***] called me today 6/5/15 and left a message saying he was an officer from the IRS and that they were going to arrest me in three hours. He scared my wife pretty bad, I was shocked as well. I called my brother and he told me it was a scam going on, and not to worry. I called a friend who works for a police unit, and he confirmed that it was a scam as well.
