They called me saying that I owed some online payday loan company 589.95 and that they were filing charges against me on monday and I should be served court papers by wednesday. And when I go to court I will owe the company 5000 dollars and something. He couldn't give me a legit company name or nothing. So I contacted the Attorney General here in north carolina and they said it was most likely a scam.
I just received a call from this number. They knew my name. And asked me if i was a [***]. I told them yes i am and about to show them a bigger one if they don't stop calling me and if they didn't hang up the phone right then i was going to call the law and press charges for harassment. They hung up pretty quickly then.
