Got a v.m.. From 202 864 1267 at about 4:51 pm, cst, couldn't hardly understand him, I was suspicious, so I recorded the call when I called back. "jack Cooper" stated that he was from the IRS, and that I owed a few thousand dollars, and told me they sent previous notice via UPS and since I didn't respond that I needed to pay immediately. I asked where the local IRS office was and I would go there, he said if I didn't pay immediately, that I would be arrested within the hour. Seriously? It's hard to believe ppl fall for this. I just kept bombarding him with questions that he couldn't answer so he got mad and hung up, lol. I reported him to the IRS fraud dept. Not sure if they will do anything, they can't even catch ppl in their own office. But I Hope they catch these ppl, they've been doing this since about July 2013, from what I could tell through brief research. since these ppl can't see their victims, they think they r doing no harm, sickens me. Please pass this on, so that they can catch these creeps.
Caller from this number fraudulently claimed to be from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and that I owed money. I asked to speak to his supervisor and the caller stated he was going to, "send cops to my house to arrest me" and hung up.
Got the same call, sounded like a Pilipino [***] salesman with a mouth full of samples.. "If you don't heed my warning all I can do is wish you good luck" WTF? Do these dumbasses actually fool anyone? IRS my [***].... please go die a slow gooey death.
Got the same call this morning with the same threat in our voicemail. Said his name was Officer Eric Foster. Sounded not only foreign but like a computer generated voice as well. Figured it was a fraud, but appreciate the confirmation.
The Indian scammers are now using some sort of voice distorter to try to mask their Indian accents. It does''t work worth a damn; you can still spot the accent. I talked to some jerk who said he was located in Idaho. Voice distorter didn't help him at all, I told him he was in India and was a scammer. Kept denying it though.
