Somebody with heavy Indian accent, attempted to tell me that my computer was receiving unwanted hacking. They also tried to convince me that it was a support call for windows. When I inquired how he knew about me and my computer he tried to tell their website detected and requested the support. The website did not sound familiar, so when I asked how he got my number he also said it retorted my name, but when asked to verify, not even close. Asked him to take me of call lady any attempt to contact
I got the same call on 1/22/15, he says he is James from microsoft, and mentioned that my windows is infected...Im in great danger and I told him at work, whatever. I told him that I felt he was a scam and I will need your managers contact info/ website and his personal bank info (LOL) to verify. If Microsoft is having issues - do you really think they would just call out of the blue? UGH NO!!! Dumbass ....He called me from 203-026-2037 and he gave me another number 347-480-2300 (supposively its Tech dept for Windows)
I just got a call from 203-026-2037 which is a Ct number. The guy with an extremely heavy foreign accent, I couldn't tell where it was from and difficult to understand. He said his name was "Peter" and he was calling about my computer...I responded with, "I don't have a computer so you must be a scam". and I hung up.
