I don't know who is calling me from this number - have had several calls in the past. They don't leave a message. This morning I turned off the answering machine and let the phone ring.
They say they know that someone has been hacking into my computer and sending out emails to people. They want to help me to get that stopped. In order to do that they ask me to turn on my computer so they can point out the sites on my computer where this is happening. They claimed they were calling from the Windows IT Department. It was clearly a scam.
When this actually happened to me once (my computer was being used to send out thousands of spam emails) I was called by my server and told it was my responsibility to get it stopped, or they would discontinue my service.
I just got a call from this number, they hung up as I answered it. They ring me often and I tell them that having a problem with my computer would be difficult as I do not have one!!!! They soon disappear. It is a scam to gain access to your computer. I can't print what I would like to do to them.
