I had a call last night at 11:10 PM. A woman of Indian accent told me that she was with Microsoft and wanted to know if I was having problems with my computer. I did hang my phone and ignore her request.
Today she called twice and when I did recognize her voice she insist that she was not the same of last night but my ID caller shows the SAME PHONE NUMBER!
Looks like she is kind of LUNY.
CWG40 is correct. Do not do what they want, hang up, its a scam to gain access to your computer. The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!
I got a call at 11 pm from this number - indian accented woman - claiming to be from 'cyber security' nearly hysterical telling me my computer was being hacked and traced and i need to go turn it on!
I laughed and said "I don't think so" and hung up.
She knew my name - that was the creepy part and that someone might believe this bull-crap.
