Received a call from this number. A woman with a strong Indian accent told me to turn on my computer and follow her instructions. I asked her what, who, when, where and how. She couldn't answer any of my questions (I was intentionally frustrating her). She told me my computer was infected and she could answer all of my questions if I did what she said. I then told her I have a high security computer, my boyfriend is a software engineer, and I didn't need her help. She then got even more upset and said, "Oh yeah? Your boyfriend is a software engineer? Do you want to know what my boyfriend does?" She hung up after that.
Same here. Don't answer and if your phone is capable of blocking numbers, do so. Which should help for a while. Unfortunately these numbers are "spoofed" and can be changed to whatever they want so expect more of these down the road. :(
