SCAM FOR SURE. TWO something. They get your # from the interweb guaranteed, scraping craigslist or facebook. I owe nothing and have no legal issues. Just tell them off or don't answer.
This number called, caller ID reads Jenna Clifford, didn't recognize name or number so didn't answer. We turned our answering machine off due to getting so many of these types of calls. Real tired of the harassment. They need to get these scammed & put a stop to it. It's a shame these people spend their time preying on other people, why don't they try get a real, legitimate job.
Got a call on my cell from 203-302-5996, caller name was Megan Thompson (so she says) from GDI (global discovery international). She states she is looking for a family member who has had a complaint filed against them and if they do not hear from said family member, a summons will be issued and the trial will take place without them present. When I ask who the complainant is in told she is just the locator service and doesn't have any further details, just a phone number to call and a case number. I didn't give any further information or family members phone number. Called the number bank and got a recording over and over. Company is listed nowhere online. Same drill as everyone else here just a different caller name. Must be a scam... Left that message on their voicemail! Unbelievable.
I got the same call, but from 269-282-6891 her name was Angela, and she said the very same thing!! And called my cell, which I have no idea how she got that, for I don't give my cell out to anyone but family!!
Called my cellphone, no idea how they got the number. Asked if I spoke Spanish, which I don't, then asked if I was my brother using his full name. I very rarely see my brother and he is in another country, so I have no idea how they ended up calling me.They said there was a complaint filed against him and if they do not hear from a trial will take place without him present. When I asked for the jurisdiction of the complaint, they didn't know, could only provide a phone number to call and a case number. They didn't provide any additional information and I didn't call back-- I'm hoping this was just a scam.
