they call me and they say that my license for my pc was hacked by someone eles they say we are going to fix it and atotal protection for liftime and thay wanted 450$ dollors and thay say now if you dont pay i am going to block yor pc when i told me that i just chut down my pc and i told them i am goin to call the cops and i hang up the phone.
Super pushy call. I hang up him once he mentioned Window security and he rang three times until I picked up again. He also argued with me citing I lied to him by saying we don't use Windows. He even said he is calling from RCMP and said he will slap at my butt as I lied. This kind of crap should be arrested.
called 3 times this morning. The man on the phone spoke poor english and tried to tell me that hackers were sending out messages from my computer and had stolen my identity. I played along for awhile...then told him he was full of sh** and that I knew it was a scam. He called back again...told him I was recording the call....he talked for a minute trying to convince me...then he told me it was illegal to record him. I told him again that he was full of sh**. Then I hung up...he called for a third time..I didnt answer. I have also followed up with Microsofts fraud department so that they have a record of the phone number and the caller.
Just received a call from a man with an East Indian accent by the name of Ahmed claiming he was calling from Microsoft's Security Department. Yeah, right. My husband told he he was full of bullsh*t and to bugger off.
I've had calls like this in the past, but I string them along and ask lots of questions, like where can I call you I case we get disconnected. Some of the fake names they've used have been Justin Bieber (my favourite and also an East Indian accent) and David O'Brien ( combination of Conan O'Brien and David Lettermen?).
Called me 3 times on Monday. I hung up on him twice and he kept calling back. The Tuesday they called early and woke me up. Today they called 3 times, this time she asked for my husband. Same deal they say someone is hacking my Windows system.
