Heavens! If this really is the people wanting to do chimney service, you are lucky they hung up on you. These people have been calling around for years. (I just received a call from this number, identified as "Wireless Caller.") They are always changing their spoofed caller ID numbers, always trying to trick people into using their "service." If you really did have people you could have referred them to, those people are lucky, too, for having been spared being exposed to what likely is a scam. These days, people calling out of the blue are always to be distrusted. It is very sad, but it is true.
Caller ID 3/30 as Meriden CT. Caller ID 4/22 as Cell Phone CT. Can't make up their minds? Either way, wrong phone exchange for this # and no message left. Called back, got recording about "missed", then some unintelligible blabbering. Sounds like a SCAM to me.
