I had a similar experience today. A person asked for our CEO by name, and when I asked for his name he said Kevin Taylor. When I transferred the call to our CEO, he hung up. Is he just trying to verify names in companies?
Just received a call from this number 203-441-4557. The person on the other end of the line asked for my boss. When I asked who it was he stated 'KEVIN TAYLOR', when I asked from where he stated my company is 'COLUMBUS'. I then proceeded to tell him my boss was not in the office. 'KEVIN TAYLOR' hung up before I could get the word office out of my mouth. I attempted multiple times to contact him back however there was no verbal sound on the other end, just a crackling sound - maybe 'KEVIN TAYLOR' was having problems with his headset or realized I was attempting to contact him back to give him an earful. For all the 'KEVIN TAYLOR'S' in the world a/k/a telemarketers, scums of the earth, leeches, dirt bags and I could go on and on. How about getting a REAL JOB instead of making hard working people stop what they are doing by answering the phone for idiots like 'KEVIN TAYLOR'. I will be nice when I answer the phone however I will go back to placing the 'KEVIN TAYLORS' on hold - because the longer they are on hold that is one less person they will be able to contact. And please remember 'KEVIN' you ALWAYS have to get through "THE GATE KEEPER" before you can get to my boss because "I HOLD THE KEY!!!"
