Nancy from pain relief center. Wanted to know about aches/pains. Very good 'computer voice'. Answered their few questions (yes/no). I passed. Proceeded to say that they would send me some medicated cream. I would just have to provide a credit card to cover shipping and handling. Wallet stayed in pocket and I disconnected the call. Added number to my block list.
They,(203) 654-7222), keep calling me time and time again so I finally said I would agree to speak with a real person. But instead of a real person they decided to keep having their automated machine all me question so I kept replying "I wasn't too speak with someone." The machine would blip and then say "We need these answers in order to proceed with pre qualifying." So I would repeat "I want to soak with someone!" That's when it got creepy! The automated female voice actually laughed at me and hung up! Whoever runs this is by all means a scam and are trying to hard people rather than sell anything.
It's a robocall that sounds like a real person. It responds to key phrases. If you tell it "do not call" it will stop calling you. This is because the company's worried about donotcall.gov. If your number is listed on the Do Not Call List, then go to the government site and report the company.
On a side note, the recording will laugh at you if you say phrases which indicate that it's not a real person. This is also because robocalls are specifically not allowed. However, notice how it pauses and the weird tone of its voice. It's just like an automated menu for a business which asks you questions, only programmed for a telemarketer. This suggests that they're aware they're breaking the rules. Please report them. If you're reading this, then you can help stop them, because the gov will likely come down harder if they get many reports. After all, the squeaky wheel gets the grease!
