Just received a call from these guys on my cell phone. They identified themselves as "Business Funding, LLC", and the operator said "you can call me Alex" (nothing weird about that...lol).
Totally illegal. They've called me before, but hang up immediately when I ask who they are. This time I played along for the "loan" offer, but when I asked where they were located she hung up immediately. Next time I'll go further down the rabbit hole, and so we can bring this scum out into the light.
To that end, does anyone have more information about this number, the business who owns it, or where the company is located? I fully intend to file a case in small claims court, and take a nice vacation with the proceeds. We should all do the same!

After reading your entry, it occurred to me that the caller identified themselves as "Direct Funding Company." The 203-864-3214 is definitely CT and the 424 area code I mentioned is greater LA. They are probably bouncing their true source number off of these numbers (and there are probably more they are using all over the country). If you are intending on playing the game further with them do not give any personal info on you or your business (not even a name).
For all business owners out there please heed this warning...THERE ARE NO TRUE INVESTORS OR LENDERS THAT CALL LOOKING FOR BUSINESS (not to mention I am on the Do Not Call list).
SHOULD CURIOSITY CAUSE YOU TO PRESS "1" TO SPEAK TO A REP, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO AND HANG UP!!!! When a rep came on the line, the first thing she said was, "Am I speaking to the business owner?" Before I answered her I said, "Before I give you my information, I would like to do my own research on your company." SHE PROMPTLY HUNG UP ON ME. A few minutes later, I received a call from 424-281-3872. When I answered the line disconnected immediately.
