I just got a call from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. Since they did not leave a message I assume they are telemarketers and so I have added this number to my blocked call list.
My phone number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry since August 2003 so if they are telemarketers, they are violating the law.
To block calls like this I got a Panasonic KX-TGE245B that allows me to block up to 250 numbers and/or area-codes. Panasonic has several new 2014 models that will block that many numbers. You simply save the CID to the blocked list. You can also block area codes by adding them to what they call a “Range List” (you are blocking the range of numbers starting with that area code).
a guy calls and says we are working in your area, and offering 50%off,Off of what I asked and he has no answer, sounds like a scam to me, So much for the Do NOT call list.
"Chimney Service" (PH: 203-957-1299) is NOT a registered home improvement contractor with the Dept. of Consumer Protection. They WILL rip you off, if they call you hang up on them or just don't answer. If they appear at your door, call the police and they will be arrested. If you are on the DNC list report them to PH: 888-382-1222 and they will be fined. Just another fly by night scammer after your money.
I don't know why everyone assumes is a scam I used their service they have a home improvement license with them on truck and I checked online it was valid they cleaned my fire place for 53 dollars with tax and are coming back to install caps I originally didn't want the caps because this site said they didn't have a license but when I checked it street they left it was valid
I was just notified by a customer about this post I find this post very inaccurate and slanderous my license number is 0634909 I also went to a house in December around the time of this post and had the police waiting for us and they verified everything and I had no issues most likely that was this person the one thing I do agree with is if someone shows up at your house without an appointment I would call the police as I never just knock on someone's door and believe that is inappropriate
