The headquarters is in San Diego, CA. The auto call made to my business is from Bainbridge Island, WA. I have had this call 5 times in 5 days. I called Katapult, waited and waited and some phone monkey finally picked up the phone and started out with "Is this Karen?" He got an earful. Google where are you? Stop this [***]!
I think the most impact we could have is to leave them a poor review on facebook https://www.facebook.com/katapultseo or with the BBB. You can only be a [***] in business for so long, the reputation will catch up with them, and the ROI on these BS calls can't be good.
There are hundreds - probably thousands - of these companies out there harassing businesses day in and day out. Their line of bull always makes you think they ARE from Google, but if pressed they'll say "we're a licensed Google partner." They never say "No, we're not Google." You would think Google would do something about it, but apparently it drums up enough income to override the pissed off businesses. Commerce - it's evil.
I blocked them a long time ago (see my comments 5/23/14), but they are STILL calling, several times a day - I know because my phone rings once and shows me the calling number but it stops with one ring when it's blocked. Relentless jerks.
Add your voice on Facebook, they are getting a lot of negative comments because of their constant calls. One person even checked with Google and they are NOT a Google partner.
They have a bunch of 5 star ratings on Facebook, with no comments attached to them so they no doubt are employees or fake profiles. They also have not posted one single reply to the negative comments which cements the fact they don't give a sh*t what people think of them, they'll just keep calling you anyway.
