Who called from 2062012325

Received two calls from this number 206-201-2325, claiming to be with the IRS, when I called back the number a representative answered with broken english and clearly from another country.  He right away stated my name and address, then immediately  started to tell me that my drivers license will be suspended and accounts frozen due to a miscalculation error in my tax filing since 2004, when I disputed the validity of this call, he started yelling at me and said if I would hang up the police will be over to arrest me! I of course, hung up.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Did you notice that all of the previous reports except one, are nearly 3 yrs. old?

Doesn't matter Mousy.. apparently they are firing up this number again. Its not unusual to see them go back to using and abusing the same spoofed number either.. :)  In most cases, these scam ops are related, both being used by scammers and thieves from India and Pakistan.  It is not unusual for these threads to jump from Microsoft tech , to fake grants, medical "we want to sell you a pill your Dr supposedly ordered" or you had surgery and can sue, fake loans and also phony you took a loan now have to pay or else debt collection fraud to this on the IRS Scam..  all extortion and theft of some kind.

Calls 2 days ago and today.  Female robo message voice with good English accent. Stated calling from IRS - caller ID showed "Washington" but Seattle area, NOT D.C!!  We were to call back on the same number - NOT!!!!  Don't think that US gov't IRS works this way.
