Person named Lance White representing himself to be an IRS Agent 206 201 2445 Badge #DC4491
Would like to discuss my nonexistent tax bill.
Insists I file a complaint with the FTC if I don't believe him more than my accountant. Recites off tax code as his claim to fame.
Like everyone else, we got a call from this number. My friend tried calling them back, but only got a busy signal. The number is 206-201-2445. It was the famous IRS scam. This is so tiring, I wish the phone company, probably Century Link, would just shut down the numbers and stop these people from calling. I, for one, am really getting tired of it. I wish this site gave us a scammer option to post with our comment.
The calls cannot be stopped. They originate in India and Pakistan and as such are beyond the reach of US law enforcement. Or anyone else. Invest in a call blocker.
We got this scammer call as well, saying the IRS would be starting a lawsuit and asking us to call this number. The answering machine came on with a woman with a British accent asking us to leave a message.
I just received a call from 630-529-5537 informing me that I was being sued by the IRS and to call 206-201-2445. I called the number, was initially disconnected, called back and got a very bad connection with an individual who identified himself as Ronnie Villas of the IRS. When I asked him to repeat (bad connection) he said, Ronnie Villas with the Internal Revenue Service. He started to ask me questions and I had my iPad open and goggled the phone number I had just called, and this website popped up. I told him what I had done, that his call was a scam, and hung up.
