Insists I file a complaint with the FTC if I don't believe him more than my accountant. Recites off tax code as his claim to fame.
Wow, I came home from work to have a message from a man claiming to be officer Jack Martin, badge #DC1598. I was told the IRS was suing me for $1800 and if I don't pay they have a warrant ready to issue for my arrest. This guy had me in tears, I told him I don't have that kind of money, so he asked for half, and that I could make monthly payments @ $100, or go to jail. Wants me to call him tomorrow at 11:00 at a new number 202-241-8695 LOL. I am so Thankful that God gave me a little sense to google the number. It's a shame people do things like this, how many people sent this man money, when I asked how to get the money to him he said he'd let me know tomorrow when I call him to let him know I got the money.

Just got this message today. 206 number that's listed above. caller ID number however was 630 - 529 - 5537. Not quite sure who to report this to so I'm going to call the local authorities.
I got the same scam call this AM. The caller ID listed "New York" 1-607-739-9798. I was being "sued by the IRS" and was told to call 206-201-2445, which is in a suburb of Seattle. A fellow with an Indian accent answered and said he was "Lance" from the IRS (I'm NOT making this up). I said "Hi" to Lance and proceeded to tell him that I was reporting his name and numbers to the IRS, the state attorney generals of New York and Washington and the FTC. This was followed by a string of foul-mouthed insults. We traded insults for a minute or so (I'm Irish - so mine were much better than his) and I finally invited him to take a walk outside his tent and pursue a meaningful relationship with the nearest goat.
