It was a voice-synthesized message stating that "the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you!" The IRS would NEVER call ANYONE from just ANYWHERE, WITHOUT PROPERLY identifying themselves, SO...the verdict is...SCAM!!! :-(

Another IRS scam, you see if the IRS were abolished another source of annotyng unwanted phone calls would fade into internet space

Got a call this @0811hrs. I didn't answer so a message was left.  The message was a voice-synthesized message stating that "This call is officially a final notice from IRS...the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you!. To get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number..." blah blah blah.  SCAM....BLOCKED THE NUMBER.

Recording that says "Final notice from IRS before filing suit...call this number immediately"  Immediately blocked!!
