I got the same message but figure it is some kind of scam. I listened to try to see what the hook is, but I didn't call the number he gave me that I had to call back "immediately" so I could get my money. I googled it instead and found this.
I received the same type of phone call as well. He said that I had been chosen to receive money from a U.S. grant and to go to a Western Union to receive it. He said his name was Chris Adams. I immediately reported this to the local law enfornment.
The US Government wants to give me a grant of $6000 if I call back on 206-201-2560 - The caller did not know which Department or Agency the grant was coming from... But they were "U.S. Government Grants" - WOW WHAT A BUNCH OF FOOLS. I told them if it was DOD money I did not want to take the money away from the soliders who needed it buy bullets and bullet proof vests.
Eveyone knows the US Government does not have a group of asians in Washington State trying to give you money. The reverse is true - Washington DC is trying to take all our money.... ;-)
I recieved a message from this number as well, I didnt know what to do so I called the white house and they transfered me to the federal grants department. I was told that grants are not solicited over the phone and I started a case # to have it shut down.
On a different note if you are interested in appling for a real grant I have the number and it is a great idea, i want new kitchen cabnits, maybe i will get them :)
