Unfortunately, she is still doing this. I had a condo rental for a week for rent which she replied to. I unfortunately sent my address to her for the check. I wish I would have googled her name first!
I got the same exact e-mail from cyndy abel, sone eric 13 LOL exact!! I even got the check today!! $3550.84 2500 more than asked for, she asked for me to transfer the money to the Nanny for "relocation fees"
UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
can't someone do something about this crazy scammer!!!
Yeah, I got a couple emails from Cyndy, and from two different email addresses, in response to an ad I had on the Internet for math tutoring for her son. (I can't remember if she used the name "eric".) Anyhow, today I *chatted* with her on gmail chat!! She started chatting me up saying she wanted a personal assistant. Her grammar was terrible. I asked her where she lived--she said "UK". When I said what was her native language, she responded, "bretish english". Love it!
I just got the exact same e-mail as frnhtt and when I replied asking more details about what I would need to tutor her son in she told me he was in college which doesn't make sense because in the first e-mail she said he was 13.
I have gotten 3 emails from 3 supposedly different people regarding tutoring yet the emails are all quite similar. My stock response if that I only accept cash becaus of all the scammers out there and charge 50 an hour and that I will meet them at their hotel or the library. I never give them my real name or any other info about myself. It is so obviously a scam, but I just can't resist playing them along. Funny how after I send them my list of "conditions" for accepting the assignment, I never hear from them again!!! I was born in the dark, but it wasn't last night.
