Who is this person?  Is this a scam?

Have you had any contact with this person?  This is the exact same email I received this morning.  It appears to be a WA phone number.  I responded to the email and he responded back saying he was going to buy the horse, have a bank check drawn and sent to me then make arrangements to pick the horse up.  I told him I was very surprised by how this transaction was taking place and would not release the horse until the check was approved and cleared the bank.  He did not request anything other than my mailing address, whom to make the check out to and a phone number to contact me by.  I think I'll call to find out.

I got the same emails, I called the number and just got voicemail???? Do not know what to think.  My horse is not moving until I talk to somebody.

I got an email as well, said he wanted to buy my horse also, asked for my name and address.   Is this a scam?
