For about a week now we get a call every morning asking us to press 1 to clear the account or go to WWW.collect.com, when I enter WWW.collect.com it says server error. They don't say who they are or what account we need to clear. This may be the Boogie Man
this is a scam call from a company named 3gcollect. they get you to accept a collect call from a "payphone" and have a recording on there about charging you $15 for the call. Of course you answer, thinking it may be a family member or friend in trouble of some kind. And they harass you for weeks, both texting and calling, hoping you will give them your credit card number to take care of the charge, just to stop their harassment. DON'T DO IT!! Don't give them ANY private info! They have also called/texted me using the number 312-340-0403 in IL. So, punch in those numbers online and you'll see other people having the same problems. I almost (almost) went online to pay them, just to get them out of my hair. But didn't. Can you imagine how much money these guys might be making, off unsuspecting people?! Scumbags!! I wouldn't answer their calls, nor return their texts, nor go online like they say. And whatever you do, don't give them your cell number when you return their calls. I have no idea how they got mine! They actually rerouted the call they gave me through a phone in a half way house! I tracked it down.
