got a call from this number saying that I was under a criminal investigation from the IRS, and I am urged to call back. if i don't call back, then the person wished me luck, as the investigation unfolds.
I received the same phone call and was urged to call back which I did. The heavy Indian accented male (Officer Alex Watson - legal dept of IRS) asked me if my name was Damy, which I replied with No. He quickly said he had the wrong number and that no further action is required and hung up. I had a feeling it was a scam and looked up his number and saw this thread.

I used a number that was blocked and first thing I said is I need your ADDRESS and DIRECT #, at this the call turned explicit and the man with an heavy accent began asking for my bra size as I stated he was a fraud and would go to jail. (206)317-1296. It is TAX season people do not give any information of your financial accounts. This is what they want... ALSO when you get these calls tell them you want everything MAILED////// DO NOT DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ADDRESS. If they are truly who they say they are they already have the information and will mail you documentation.
I just received another call. This time I said that I notified the police and they are aware that he is a scam artist and that the IRS does not make phone calls. He proceeded to say that they make phone calls as the letters were just sent. Just block this number from your phone 206-317-1296.
Received my call today. Officer Alex Watson. I should call him back at 206-317-1296. I had already seen this thread and was interested in seeing what kind of scam he was trying to pull so I called back. I called from a burner phone I have. he didn't recognize the number I was calling him from. I gave him the "file" number he gave me 3H94436. When I saw he couldn't locate my file, and ask for my name I laughed at him and hung up!
I got the same threat from the same type of person with a thick accent. I refused to follow through and so far he has not called back, but it is very annoying. It has now been reported to our local Sheriff's office if anything further goes on.
