got a call from this number saying that I was under a criminal investigation from the IRS, and I am urged to call back. if i don't call back, then the person wished me luck, as the investigation unfolds.
This person called my wife saying she hasn't payed her taxes in several years which we go through a tax company to do our taxes I'm reporting this number to the FBI if anyone else gets this call it urge you to do the same and call the FBI it is a scam to get SS number or other info or even payment if the IRS legal was getting ahold of you it would be through a letter then phone call and when you call back it would say this is the IRS legal department
i dont know if the fbi can do anything about it..when they call me i waste there time acting nervous and asking what can i do then after a minute or so i start laughing at him and he curses me out and hangs up then they dont call me anymore because they know if they call me it will be wasting there time

I too received a call stating I would be arrested if I did not respond immediately. My husband is a judge and he said the IRS NEVER calls anyone and they do NOT show up and arrest anyone. They send a letter first, then they set up a time to meet with you. THIS is such a scam!!!!
I also received the call with the exact same message. Happy to hear this is a scam from all of you. It sounded like a recording and he is as you all described - with a thick Indian accent. Said my lawsuit is: ch94436.
