I got the same exact call today and the call was cutting in and out and he was stating I was hiding money from the federal government and he was calling form the IRS. I told him if they had a problem they knew where i lived if they were the IRS and could come talk to me at my home and hung up on him!!
They called me twice today from the same number, once saying they were with the medical law something or other and another from the IRS....the IRS will not cold call you, they will always send info through the mail first.
DO NOT RESPOND! I got the same call. It has scam written all over it. A man with a thick foreign accent says he's calling from the IRS, something about fraud on my taxes and that I'm hiding something from the federal government (the connection was cutting in and out). Nothing about it is legitimate. Again, do not respond!
