After receiving this call for the second time I answered. I got the phone number and gave to my wife to see what they want and my poor wife got scammed and they took 500$ from her by money gram saying the police will come if u don't make paymen now, she called back and they hang up on her.
They gave a name for the money to be transferred to(Nicholas Pellegrino)
But we googled and different pics came up,even for a new born baby under the same name.
I think they are using people's name to do their scams.
Scam....I owe IRS money .. if I don't pay immediately over the phone. (over one thousand dollars however if I couldnt pay it all they would take 500.00) the sheriff dept would be at my house to pick me up. Please guard yourself and your family from junk like this.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I just got the same type of call. I first talked to an Indian woman who I could not understand. She transferred me to her boss. He said his name was Roger Wilson, but he was also Indian. He was very demanding and said that I had to withdraw $2,789.00 immediately while keeping him on my cell phone. He said a sheriff would be following me and that if I hung up I would be arrested immediately. I drove to my lawyer's office, set the phone outside, and told my lawyer about it. He had me give him my phone and the impersonator eventually hung up. My lawyer said it was definitely a scam. I tried to pay them over the phone. Luckily, he would not accept that. I am wondering if someone will show up at my door to collect the money (or arrest me). It doesn't make sense as I had no notice. When I asked him why I didn't have any notice, he said an IRS agent came to my home 3 times. I've been home for 2 weeks and no one came to my home. Very scary as he was very demanding. He is good at what he does. My lawyer said that the IRS never does business that way. He said to let the sheriff come if it's legitimate. I live in a small town and my lawyer knows the sheriff. Scary how I was willing to wire them money but he wanted cash.
