I have been getting calls...don't say what for just to have my attorney call them. I don't have an attorney!
On SSD and have nothing...so if someone is trying to sue me, good luck.
I got a call from someone that left a message and said they were with American Courier Service and wanted to know if I would be home between 10-2 so they could deliver some legal documents. They said that if I was not going to be home to be sure to arrange for someone to be home to sign for them. They they said if I had any questions to call this number 206 395 9751 and ask for Laura and give them a case/file number of: Blah-blah-blah -dash- more blah-blah-blah.
I think it is one of those 2nd or 3rd generation scavanger collection agencies, but won't know for sure until I speak to "Laura" the code name for the person that you call that will berate you about some 20 year old debt..

Received a call from this number to my work stating if I didnt call back within 2 hours, there will be representatives at my work with documents requesting me to go to court. Once I called the number I asked what this was in regards to and they told me I would find out once I received the documents. I continued to ask what it was about and eventually was told that I was rude and they didnt need my 50 cents, and weren't going to do anything for me regardless if I wanted to cooperate.. They continued on an eventually hung up on me. They harrassed my employer stating they were coming to my job. They answer the phone stating their name, but not the company they represent. Next time I am going to record the call and take it to an atty. If this isnt harrassment, then I dont know what is. Please help if anyone has any suggestions!!
