Received a call saying they were the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me. I knew it was a scam but called the number anyway just to see what they would say. I called and a man with an Indian accent answered. He knew my name and asked me to confirm my mailing address. I told him I knew he was running a scam and I have reported his number and take me off the list.
Received a call today on the recorder saying it was the IRS, here is most of the message word for word. Hello, WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REACH YOU. This call is official and final notice from the IRS, Internal Revenue Service. IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information on this case file please Call immediately on our department number 206-452-0659, female voice recording. Another scumbag out there trying to steal your money!! I called the number after blocking it *67 and was on hold with music playing in the background. Does not identify where or who you are calling. Like they say the IRS will never phone you, you will get a notice in the mail from the IRS.
I received call from this # today as well - Stating this is my final notice..lol....never received any other notice...that IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call back 206-452-0659 immediately....really...now way am I even going to call back....Has to be a scam and IRS is not in Washington State...most of Federal is out in West Virginia and they would send letter...These people are dumber then dumb!!
I just received a call from this number an hour ago and called the number back actually reaching a person who identified himself as the IRS. I gave him an earful of my opinion about people who did this scam calling and he just took it like i was joking. He had an East Indian accent.
I received a recorded call yesterday from this same number. Sounded fishy to me, and I was tired, so I didn't check anything out, about it, until this morning. Same thing as what is said above. I hope these guys get what is coming to them.
