Received a call saying they were the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me. I knew it was a scam but called the number anyway just to see what they would say. I called and a man with an Indian accent answered. He knew my name and asked me to confirm my mailing address. I told him I knew he was running a scam and I have reported his number and take me off the list.

Just received this call, same thing final notice BLAH BLAH BLAH. I feel bad for the eldery people that will be scared into this type of fraud. People have no morales or ethics!! I called back and told the middle eastern gentle to kindly "F" off and don't call again.
Got the same recording today. I work for a Tax agency. Best thing to do to mess with them, tell them you work for the IRS, or ask for the name of the person in charge of the department so you can give to your attorney. Watch how fast they hang up. LOL
Also got a phone call today from these people, same thing "Internal Revenue Service. IRS is filing a lawsuit against you". It was on my answering machine when I got home from work. Do people actually believe these things? The `REAL` IRS never calls, they only contact people by mail.
