I have received two calls today from this number and a man with a foreign voice tells me if I don't pay the IRS what I owe them, there will be a warrant on me for my arrest. I just called the number back and the lady, with a foreign voice, that answered the telephone answered "U.S. Treasury Office". I told her that I had received two recorded calls today, saying that I was going to arrested for back taxes. She said, "Yes". And I replied with "Yes what?" And she hung up.
A pre-recorded voice with an accent that shifts from Australian to South Asian to American gives a badly worded and intentionally vague warning about how if you don't contact them, you're going to be in violation of federal law. You'd think by now people would figure out how to make their scam calls sound more legitimate, but this guy obviously skipped that class.
