$25000.00 Scam
I got a call from a woman saying I am being entered to win $25000.00. She also said that I am going to get a watch for free. They then wanted me to get magazines. When I said that I didn't want any she transfered me to her "supervisor" The "supervisor" said that I was getting a $100.00 gas card and they wanted me to get a card that will give me 50% off thousands of dollars worth of savings. It was only to cost me $1.98 each. As soon as I said that I wasn't going to give out my credit card number they hung up. What a scam.

Have received this call numerous times, it starts out telling me they are the tech support for my computer and they are receiving messages that my computer is in trouble. It is reporting intrusions by viruses. I always hang up at this point.
I only get the number and Texas Call on my caller ID

I believe this to be either a telemarketer or someone trying to get information to either steal identity or to hack into computer. Next time I will play along.

This company called me telling me I had won a luxury watch, and long-running magazine subscriptions.  I was then asked for credit card information from a "supervisor".  When I asked for company and contact information and if they would put the winning offer in writing for me before I gave them my credit card number,  they told me that the credit card information was safe with them.
However, I never was told who I was dealing with and how I could contact them.  I was told that this information would only be provided AFTER I provided the credit card information (and in the mail).
I believe this activity to be very questionable and definitely not "up front."  Why would any legitimate company ask for credit card information and not be willing to give contact information.  By the way, the number they called me back on was 000-000-0000.  Red flags anyone?
RUN LIKE HELL.  SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here. Looks like a scam to me. Mentioned my wife's name and started the mantra about some malware.
Looks like fishing expedition to me since he could not tell me exactly what this whole thing all about.

Received the same call and story that this man is from Microsoft. I had a feeling this was a scam. I started to ask which computer had a problem since we have all macs and he gave me a name of an elderly family member who does not have or use computer. I told him this was a scam and hung up.
