Received call from this number saying owed money on payday loan. Do have payday loan - called payday loan company to confirm in good standing for them. Am in good standing (obviously for what it is). Asked man on phone for landline number, he did not know what landline number was. He gave street address, confirmed it was in fact building with lawyers. Looked up phone number that goes with that street address and called. Lawyers office did not know anything about this.
Also asked man who called for the lawyers website. Could not give website. Said "so you are a legitimate lawyers office and do not have a website or landline phone." He said yes to legitimate, did not have an answer for no landline or website.
An foreign speaking gentleman named Rick Hoffman called my cell and left a message saying that he wanted my lawyer to call him and this was a time sensitive matter. I know that this is a SCAM and they try to scare you to get money out of you.
