Got the same call a few times, answered today. Same as many, man with heavy indian accent, claimed to work for Facebook saying someone was trying to access my account, and that my computer was compromised. Funny how I never gave my home phone number anywhere or anytime on FB. I just hung up when he started saying that he was going to walk me through the steps to uninstall the corrupted file in my computer.
Called and left no message. Wonder why someone from Sprint/T-Mobile in San Antonio, TX would be calling someone in Ontario, Canada. Sprint & T-Mobile are not phone companies up here.
Got a call from someone claiming to be Kevin, and that he works for windows informing me that my security software had expired. Kevin said that he worked in a call center in Australia. Funny, "kevin" had an Indian accent. I asked to speak to his manager (who after a few seconds sounded like kevin) i told the "manager" we were aware of the scam at which point he told me to f$&! off. It is a scam, and they do not stop calling. We have gotten at least 6 calls from these people. The number tonight was 1-210-251-0006
Just got the call. he said the name is Daniel and said my computer may crash in an hour. He asked me to turn on the computer and guide me solve the security problem. I asked him to call back during the night when someone know computer well at home. He said he's too busy to call back. "There are so many customers I need to call." Be ready to receive his call!
