I just recived this same email yesterday w the same number calling w a foreign guy telling by the name of jack thomas was worried till i saw the post on him
I just got a email and text from this number saying I owe 950.00 and to respond positively to the email and that there is a branch warrant out for my arrest!! Who in God's name are these people and how they get my information
Got 2 emails stating I owe $425.00 and my social security number was being suspended, my employer would be notified, and he represented the US Government. " Since you have not responded to our numerous attempts to contact you, you obviously are trying to ignore us. A warrant for your arrest is coming." Call this number immediately. "
I noticed the grammar was incorrect, and improper use of words.
It was signed with an american name, Jack Thomas, attorney. I called, and got a thick foreign accent, saying, " Attorney office" Asked who it was, he hesitated and said, Jack Thomas. I asked who he worked for, no reply, I then stated I received a scam email from him, and he directly hung up.
I got the same email exact email....and have received others. I have an attorney because it seems someone stole my Identity. Mine was for the same amount of $425. I would check your credit report to make sure you didn't fall victim either.
