A man called from this number asking for someone and i asked him who he was and he didn't want to say. He made a threat against me. These people want to cause harm.
I've received several calls from Data Search with the 293 # .
I Told them that I wasn't going to pay the Bill that I received from University Hospital because I never really received any care and never found out what the problem was. I never even saw a doctor.
I had severe abdominal pain at 5:30am one saturday. I went to University ER so much pain I needed a wheel chair - went to the desk to sign in - waited an hour - went to another desk to give info- waited another hour - got called in for some pre-exam questioning - waited 1 1/2 hour - gave Urine Sample - waited another hour - gave Blood Samples - waited over 2 more hours still nothing (and this is the EMERGENCY room) After about 7 hours the nurse told me that I could CALL IN for the Results.
The next day when I call they told me I couldn't get the info over the phone and that I would have to return to the ER to get the results.
Basically ALL I Received was a Long Wait and a $576 BILL for nothing.
I absolutely Refuse to pay for Nothing - Be forewarned Keep Away From University Scam Hospital.
All medical care facilities are regulated by law and there is a regulatory body in your state that does this. Abysmal care like your experience should be reported. I suggest asking the consumer protection division of your state's AG's office how to report.
You are what is wrong with emergency care. First you do owe them, you had labs done. Second emergency rooms go by level of emergency not pain level. Heart attacks and strokes trump your belly ache. You see a triage nurse so if it was something urgent you would be in the back, if you are in the waiting room you're fine. Third unless it's an emergency use an urgent care or family doctor. Emergency is not a belly ache. ..it's something that is going to immediately kill you. I'm sure you don't do that because you have no insurance and know those places will charge you. People like you are the reason there is a 7 hr wait at ERs. Pay your bill, get insurance and stop abusing the system.
As a nurse for the past 37 years, I feel that Got Ripped was the one abused in this situation! Sure, they had lab work done, but no results were given. As they plainly stated, they were not seen by a provider. Shame on you for being so rude and judgmental! I truly hope that you find your pompous [***] in the same situation! They were not using the system! Next time, keep your mouth shut! If you can't find anything nice to say, then please educate yourself on being helpful! Otherwise, no one really gives a flying fart in space what you think or say!!!!!
Totally agree with that several ER' s don't have a required protocol to screen frivolous patients from seriously ill ones. We have had our share of misdiagnosed symptoms that ultimately resulted in need of immediate surgery! Hospital bill was waived after presenting Hospital Administrator with facts!
