Call received, male asking for me by my first name. Told him he had the wrong number and hung up. Have received calls from this number before. What the %^$*? Why do they do this? It's just annoying. He sounded as if he were about to make a telemarketer pitch, but I've told them "NO" before. Are they brain dead?
This number just called and asked for my husband by name. When I asked to take a message he said to tell him that Michael called from the Home Center. When I asked for a number to call him back he hung up.
i got a call from this number 213-221-8402, they were trying to sell me something, i simply said i wasnt interested, they replied with "[***]", i said what? he repeated the phrase, so i said that's what they show you in your training courses? he said, yeah, i got your number, and then he made sure i knew he knew what my exact address was. that's kinda scary, so i said, yeah, you obviously know where i live, your welcome to stop by and repeat what you said. he said, i guarantee you i will. that's a threat if i ever heard one. i guess they must have figured i didnt have caller id. so i tried going on white pages search and 411, turns out number is not listed.
i work for a municipal/city government and i just got a call from a senior citizen who thought WE had called her from this number. The guy claimed to be a City Employee (Long Beach CA) and told her he was calling to tell her that her streets would be closed for construction next week. She doubted him because the streets are already closed. She confronted him as someone who had "called yesterday". He was threatening, told her he knew where she lived and knew she was on a fixed income, etc.
I googled the number and read her some comments and told her to call Verizon (her home phone provider) and have the number blocked. It's a mean thing to do to an elderly lady. :(
