Called saying they were Chase to help me with getting a better rate on my mortgage. Did not stay long enough to hear what they wanted to know. I'll call them if I want to do that sort of business.
Call was from Chase fraud dept. I was suspicious, hung up & called # on card. Call was legit. Someone had been trying to get info, ended up canceling card and getting new one just to be safe.
9th call for the same thing. This is getting out of control. Robo dialer congratulations on the 250k business loan and rewards redemption. They change the state and area code so you can't report them. Hey if you guys are selling a real product like some a ss cream I would buy otherwise leave my a ss alone.
I got a call from this number, shortly after a discussion with the Chase Fraud Department (which resulted in me needing to be issued a new card). I immediately called Chase back and asked about it. After explicitly providing them and asking about this number, they verified that it was a legit number -- apparently the agent that I spoke with before needed more details before they could expedite getting a new card to me. Which was totally unexpected, because when we completed that call I was under the impression that everything was wrapped up and taken care of. So take it with a grain of salt. (i.e. could there be inside tippers?)
One nice thing about Chase is that they added an additional level of security for them to access the new account: my old card had been closed and the new one issued; so they insisted on texting me a temp security code to access the new account details.
Moral of the story is: be very careful with incoming calls, and even the 2nd Chase agent that I spoke with said the best thing to do is call the number on the back of your card to verify there was indeed a callback from them.
