This must be quite common. Robo call threatening to arrest me if I don't provide a call back on a tax matter? I have been hearing all over about this scam
supposedly, they said I was guilty of tax fraud and to call this number to keep myself from being arrested. This was a msg left on my answering machine.
Got the same message as above left on my answering machine with no name of who it's for... Called them back told him I wasn't giving my name would give them my number and tell me who it's for..they gave the name of my deceased mother after I told them she was deceased he then said mine and my fathers name..I asked him what would supposed tax fraud with my mother have to do with me and that the treasury doesn't call you they send letters...he then said he didn't have to prove himself to me for me to just hang up if I don't believe him and face the consequences of the government.. I told him the call was being recorded and he said it was on their end too.....to my knowledge if the call is being recorded they must tell you at the very beginning of the phone call.... So yeah this is definitely a fraud call!! I'll take my chances if the cops show up at my door!!
