looking for someone I knew. said legal papers being sent. I said I wasn't person. Person they wanted,told me it was a SCAM NEXT TIME I'LL BE CAREFUL WHEN I ANSWER PHONE
These scammers are now utilizing email addresses threatening with the same script. The email has no identification other than a gmail account. No phone number or company identification Saying they represent a company that you have never done business with. Some of them actually have your social security number. No disclosure about this communication is from a debt collector etc.
I forwarded the threatening email to my attorney general. I also sent a copy to the CFPB. Other than saying it appeared to be a scam , not too encouraging about shutting them down.
Got the same call just now. She told me someone tried to deliver legal papers to me but I wasn't home( duh! I work!). I told her to call me after 4pm. I will be reporting them right away!
Bruce please pick up the phone when I call you, I really want to talk to you, we have plenty to talk about, you know like the laws you are breaking and the fdcpa violations.
Got a call at work for an employee who happens to be my boyfriend. Have had same thing happen over and over. I look up the numbers and its all a scam. I know he dosent owe the money because each year he has me run his credit report. This happens every few months. They call his work, me and him, Its always different company with same script. I told them off and it was funny to hear them say they coundn't tell me any information because I wasn't his wife. Even if I was they cannot give out debt information. I said well if you can't tell me anything you had better not call me any more. They get very angry when you make sense and know what you are talking about.
