I received the same phone call just a little while ago....the caller stated my name and said they were going to be out sometime tomorrow to serve me papers....Well come on and join the party! Send the papers so I can see what you are talking about! Better yet, I can't wait to get them because I know it's a scam.... I called the number back and the phone just rang!! So go figure!!!! SMH @ the STUPID people!!! I hung up on them and added them to my contacts so I can send their call right to voice mail whenever they do decide to call again!!!
I am having the same problem and I want to know who I contact for harassment as they are beginning to call anyone in my family with the same last name?
Received a call on my home phone. Didn't answer and no voice message, but when I called back it just rang and rang. Not sure how they would have gotten my number anyway.
Had two calls from the same number with very similar things said...going to file documents with the court, etc., etc. A complete scam in the making...
I filed a complaint with the FCC (http://www.fcc.gov/complaints) and if you recieve a call from these losers you should as well. The more complaints received on the same number the faster the action is taken. Though by the time they start working on it the scam artists have usually moved to another number.
